Connecting us through April… and beyond.

Get ready to “virtually” put the neighbor back in neighborhood…

It’s the Possibilities 24-Hour Ice Breaker! 24 Bridges in 24 Hours.

Starting at 6am on Saturday, April 4th, Possibilities Executive Director Byron Jackson will go live on Facebook for 24 hours straight…seriously.  Each hour he’ll virtually connect with a wide spectrum of Oklahomans regarding community impact from the Corona Virus.  From educators to health professionals to innovators, Possibilities is on a mission to connect people with hope…and a healthy dose of fun.  After all, it is an ice breaker.  Imagine Jerry Lewis crossed with the Tonight Show crossed with Dr. Phil… crossed with Byron Jackson…for 24 hours!

Possibilities will use info gathered from the 24-hour event to create a “virtual service project” involving PIP program alumni.
Spread the word and follow us on social @possibilitiesOK. Imagine Byron after 24 hours… will he make it?

  • Facebook Live begins at 6 am Saturday, April 4th @possibilitiesOK

Dear Neighbor,

We hope you and your family and loved ones are well and staying healthy. Throughout this time of upheaval and the unknown, it is vital that we find the good that is happening. It is critical that we connect not only to share information, but for renewal and nurturing. To help each other work together for positive change. This is Possibilities mission and goal. We have to change how this looks, but the need for us to connect to create change is just as important as it was before.

During this time of no face-to-face, Possibilities has created Zoom meetups called Strange Brew Coffee Hour, a chance for diverse people to come together and have coffee virtually. It is a space to share, decompress and have fun. If you don’t have time for coffee during your new work from home set-up, following Strange Brew is the daily after-work Zoom Happy Hour and Retro Dance Party. Follow us on Facebook @possibilitiesOK, get the daily links and join in.

But the bigger deal is yet to come. On April 4, 2020 Possibilities’ own Byron Jackson will go live on Facebook for 24 hours with the first ever 24 Hour Icebreaker: 24 Bridges in 24 Hours. We will connect with people creating change in fun, unique ways in order to hear our neighbors and share the important needs of our community. Imagine a Jerry Lewis telethon crossed with the Tonight Show crossed with Dr. Phil… crossed with Byron Jackson. For 24 hours. We will have our Possibilities Innovators on to engage and look for community initiatives that can be addressed by community volunteers.

Join us for the whole 24 hours, or a topic of interest, or just for a little while to discover something new. If you don’t have Facebook we are formatting so that we can get you recordings. Each of the 24 one-hour segments will have a theme. The schedule is brewing… so stay tuned on this page and follow us on Facebook!
